As a mom, I’m juggling kids’ schedules, household chores, work, errands, and a million other things. Sometimes it’s all I can do to stay on top of all the stuff on my daily To Do list. Then, I open a closet and come face to face with all the stuff… you know, the stacks of pajamas, t-shirts and jeans that don’t fit the kids anymore, toys they haven’t played with in years, books that have been read and now just sit on the shelf undisturbed and gathering dust.
Every mom I know deals with this issue. Stuffed animals, board games, puzzles, craft materials, dress-up clothes, outside toys, sports equipment, baby gear and books threaten to overtake our homes, but we don’t have a good way of clearing it all out.
I know some people sell their stuff on existing websites, but those have never felt right for me. I wanted a site that was local, designed for moms, fun to navigate, and focused on children’s items. I couldn’t find what I was looking for… so I decided to build one.
