She was inspired to begin writing A Mom's Point Of View: Beginning Adulthood when her oldest daughter was nearing the age of adulthood. Kimberly wanted to give both of her daughters something tangible to reference whenever they have questions. She often tells her daughters she wished she had some sort of guide when she became an independent adult.
